The seminar began with an opening speech by Mr. Steven Carss, General Director of Parker Hannifin Vietnam, expressing his honor to accompany the university in connecting knowledge and technology. He also gave a brief introduction to Parker Hannifin – a global corporation with over 100 years of development in motion and control technologies, currently operating in more than 50 countries worldwide.

Following that, representing the university, Dr. Ha Anh Tung – Head of the Department of Heat and Refrigeration Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – VNU-HCM, extended sincere thanks to Parker Hannifin for their valuable support and collaboration. He emphasized that the partnership between businesses and the university not only enhances training quality but also helps students gain practical exposure and clearer career orientation.

The technical session of the seminar began with Mr. Pham Ngoc Thanh, Director of Thanh Trading Company – distributor of Parker valves in Vietnam – providing an overview of Parker’s valve product lines. His presentation focused on key technical characteristics such as high durability, stable operation, and effectiveness under various working conditions. With many years of practical experience, Mr. Thanh offered attendees a comprehensive view of Parker valve solutions suited to the diverse demands of modern industries.

Immediately after, Mr. Sahana Hameed, Southeast Asia Regional Sales Director, gave a detailed presentation on the valve product lines, including practical applications, outstanding features, and installation procedures. His talk helped attendees better understand the operating principles of each valve type and provided useful knowledge to optimize performance and efficiency of systems.

To support engineers in designing and selecting appropriate products, Mr. Nguyen Hien, Sales Director of Parker Hannifin Vietnam, together with Mr. Sahana Hameed, Southeast Asia Regional Sales Director, introduced the Parker valve selection software. This presentation garnered significant interest from participants due to its high applicability and its ability to meet real-world job requirements. The software not only optimizes the equipment selection process but also provides effective solutions to help businesses enhance productivity, minimize costs, and improve operational efficiency in actual projects.

The program concluded in a formal atmosphere with a closing speech by Mr. Steven Carss, representing Parker Hannifin Vietnam. He emphasized the importance of building strategic partnerships among enterprises to promote sustainable development and create new opportunities in collaborative projects and research. He also expressed hope that the event would foster long-term cooperation, not only supporting businesses in improving work efficiency but also contributing to the development of a high-quality workforce for the industry.
