The program opened with a vibrant musical performance by the M.A.Cs – MechAniaCs Music Club, enjoyed by representatives from the university, the company, and the students.
Immediately following, Mr. Lương Tiến Thành – representative of DR Fan – presented a special gift to the Department of Thermal and Refrigeration Engineering as a token of appreciation for the partnership between the company and the university, affirming DR Fan’s commitment to supporting teaching and scientific research in the future.

Continuing the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Quang Trung, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – VNU-HCM, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between academia and industry. He expressed sincere thanks to DR Fan for their valuable support in education and research and expressed hope for the continued development of a strong partnership to enhance training quality, support students, and expand joint research in the future.

As part of the seminar, Mr. Lee Cheol Hyeong, Vice President of DR Fan Korea, gave a detailed speech introducing the company’s history, key milestones in its development, and its ongoing efforts in innovation and advanced technology application to enhance product and service quality. He also shared DR Fan’s ambition to expand operations to many regions worldwide, affirming its position in the international market.
Notably, the presentation by Mr. Nguyễn Du, Head of Sales Team at DR Fan Hanoi, provided in-depth knowledge of DR Fan’s core product lines, including technical specifications, performance efficiency, and real-world industrial applications. He also shared practical experience in selecting fans and energy recovery devices tailored to specific needs and analyzed modern technological trends shaping the future of the HVAC industry.

A key highlight of the seminar was the direct Q&A session between students and DR Fan experts. This was a valuable opportunity for students to have their questions answered, gain practical knowledge, and receive insightful advice from industry professionals.

To support teaching and research activities, DR Fan donated two Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) units to the Department of Heat and Refrigeration Engineering.

Additionally, to encourage academic excellence, DR Fan awarded valuable scholarships to outstanding students. These scholarships not only provide financial assistance but also serve as great motivation for students to continue striving in their studies and research.

In the closing remarks, Dr. Hà Anh Tùng, Head of the Heat of Thermal and Refrigeration Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – VNU-HCM, and Mr. Lương Tiến Thành, CEO of DR Fan Vietnam, emphasized that the collaboration between industry and academia not only helps students gain practical exposure to their field but also contributes to improving teaching quality, research, and the application of new technologies. Both university and company representatives stressed that this relationship will create more opportunities for students to study, practice, and sustainably develop their careers from the very start of their university journey. The seminar not only updated students on the latest knowledge but also opened up prospects for future collaboration between DR Fan and academic institutions.
The event concluded in a formal atmosphere with commemorative photos taken between company representatives, faculty members, and participating students. This marks the beginning of many meaningful and practical collaborative activities between DR Fan and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – VNU-HCM in the near future.
